Overview

The USS New Jersey (BB-62), “Big J,” is the most decorated battleship in the history of the U.S. Navy. An Iowa-class battleship, her long and distinguished career spanned from World War II, through the Korean and Vietnam Wars, and into the modern era. Following a comprehensive modernisation in 1982, she was armed with Tomahawk and Harpoon missiles, serving in the Lebanon conflict and the Gulf War before her final decommissioning in 1991.

This 1/700 scale Tamiya kit is a detailed replica of the “Big J” as she appeared after her 1982 refit and is part of the classic Waterline Series.
